Dear friends of Santé Arménie,

We’re delighted to share with you the highlights of our recent mission of nurses in Armenia, from April 10 to 19, 2024, passionately initiated by Gayané Hovhannisyan-Khachaturyan, nurse anesthetist at Hôpital Simone Veil (95), and organized by Yerevan State Medical University and Santé Arménie.

The aim of this mission was to strengthen the skills of Armenian nurses. To achieve this, an international team of renowned trainers shared their know-how with generosity and expertise. Among them were Gayané Hovhannisyan-Khachaturyan, Natacha Guignard (nurse anesthetist at the Beaujon AP-HP hospital in Clichy), Dr Tifenn Boisseau (emergency physician), Dr Arthur Yesayan (pulmonologist), and many others.

Our training courses attracted a great deal of interest, with a large turnout at the inaugural conference in Gyumri, attended by 220 healthcare professionals. This enthusiasm continued in Yerevan, where more than 430 people gathered in person, while another 500 followed the event online, a real moment of learning and sharing.

The highlights of our mission were undoubtedly the practical days. In various hospitals, over 80 nurses were immersed in realistic and enriching simulations. Everyone’s passion and professionalism were palpable, and the positive feedback from participants and institutions alike filled us with gratitude and encouragement for the future.

In short, this mission was much more than just a series of training courses. It was the scene of deep human exchanges, lasting connections and a shared passion for improving the healthcare sector in Armenia.

Our warmest thanks go to all those who contributed to making this mission a real success. Together, let’s continue to work for a bright medical future in Armenia.
